Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music is one of the biggest in the Latin mainstream. The hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in the year 2017. in Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN as his first full-length album. The Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina in the following year. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on the TINI streaming hit track Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, which included the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was brought up within a musical family, since both his mom and his older brother are musicians. In interviews, he described his participation in music as compulsory. While a youngster, was playing the ukulele as well as piano. Although his first career choice was to be veterinarian, his brother Julian convinced him to try learning to sing with a Cuban.
